St. Mary of the Lake School is working hard to be the elementary school of choice for the community of Slave Lake and surrounding area. St. Mary's offers  a variety of programs to best serve the needs of our students. This includes, but is not limited to,  our Junior Kindergarten Program (mornings, Monday - Thursday), a full- day Kindergarten program, specialty programming in the area of STEM with our Maker Space offering from Gr 1-6   At St. Mary of the Lake we believe passionately that all children can learn in a faith filled, Christ centered environment focused on data driven, evidence informed instruction and assessment, that engages students while delivering the Alberta Program of Studies. 

Our Inclusive Education Lead actively engages parents in process of making school a positive experience for struggling students. This work includes screening and testing, meeting with teachers, parents, and service providers to ensure that optimal learning conditions exist for our struggling students.  St. Mary of the Lake is fortunate to have full time psychological services, on site, through Canniff & Associates.  As a Catholic School, we are Grateful Advocates for Catholic Education (GrACE) we hold regular liturgies, masses, and endeavor to act as role models for our students. We reflect our Christian values in the programs we offer, the way we interact with each other, with our students, parents and our community. We strive everyday to make school a safe, productive, and positive experience for our students and we thank our parents for entrusting their children into our care each and every day.
